Sequester is an online version of the show Big Brother and was created by Audrey Middleton, a former contestant from Big Brother 17. She has utilized her platform to create a community around a new competition for the “average viewer” but not the “average mind.” Sequester provides the opportunity for super fans of reality television, who may not fit the mold of “type casting” to partake in a competition that embodies the same essence of reality shows they love, but with a twist! Sequester not only provides a thrill for gamers, but also brings reality television down to earth. Every season of Sequester features multiple personalities from a variety of popular reality shows, providing fans the chance to compete against their favorite stars! Past contestants include Tiffany Rousso (BB18), Michelle Meyer (BB18), Andrew Gordon (BB12), Sindy WithanS (BBCAN 3 and 5), Suzette Amaya (BBCAN 1), Will Jardell (ANTM), Jamie Leigh Reichert (Catching Kelce), and Jay G (MTV Real World, The Challenge). So I watched this show online show because I had a friend that was selected to be part of the show. So I had to watch it and check it out. It premiered June 16th and lasted for a week and one winner was crowned. This might be a bit of a long post, so stay tuned and see what juicy drama happened and who won this season. The first I watched it, it took me a few minutes to figure everything out. All the contestants would talk back and forth through Google hangouts and you would watch them on the Sequester website on the live feed tab. It was kind of a whirl wind listening to all of them at once, so you would have to mute some of them and listen to one or two at a time. Each night they did an LOC challenge, and at the end of each round the winner of the round would eliminate someone off. My girl Megan French was the one I was watching and rooting for the whole time. There were some rounds she got eliminated from, but at the end of the night she was safe. Contestant D.J Smith even quoted "it was tougher than it sounds, lol" for the challenge that night. At the end of the night, Tim was the first to get eliminated from Sequester. On the 2nd night of Sequester it was a double elimination. I will admit Megan's outfit that night was darn cute with a classic black graphic tee and an adorable black hat. That night's challenges got even more confusing. After just half an hour, everyone was throwing out names, trying to push certain people out. After a mistake that Georgie made the first night, everyone else misinterpreted her and wanted her out. Then after a pretty heated discussion, it was time for the contestants to mute their mics and vote someone out for the first elimination. And it was Zach they had voted off for the first elimination. After that, they could all talk again and talk about who else they were voting off that night, so they debated between Georgie and Patty, so in the second elimination it was Patty that got the boot as well. It was an epic second night for sure. At the beginning of night 3 everyone was pumped and ready. The Sequester bot had spun a wheel and it landed on room 5, which Megan was in. So that room was frozen and they had muted their mics until further notice. Holly got voted to dance for the entire night, and Dana got voted to wear peanut butter on her face all night as well and adding chocolate chips to her face as well when the sequester bot told her too. It was another night of double eliminations and in the first elimination, Georgie was gone and when it came time for the second elimination, it was a tie between Holly and Billy, so they had a chance to plea and everyone voted again, and it was Billy that got the boot. On the 4th night, Audrey Middleton took place of sequester bot and that night's theme was a bit Grim. Everyone had to dress up like they were going to a funeral and someone had to vote who's funeral they were going to. Once the results were tallied, it was D.J that had watched his own funeral and had to sit alone in room 1 for a while. By the looks on his face, he was pissed. They all played along and took a moment of silence. I seriously thought when they voted for that, that the person was gone completely from the show, but no. The twist, he was immune from getting eliminated for the night. He got to pair each of the contestants off and at the end of the night with only 2 left, those two were up for elimination. So it was between Bobby and Tourissa, and it was Tourissa that got eliminated that night. On the 5th night, D.J won the first LOC, so he was safe for the night. The theme was also date night, so they each paired off in 2's and stayed in a room and just talked. They couldn't date the same person back to back or in the same room. It was another night of a double elimination, and in the first one, sweet Maxwell was eliminated. I ended up falling asleep, so I did't see much of what happened in the second round. So I had to look on twitter the next morning to see that Holly was voted off for the second elimination. I liked Holly a lot, but I guess some of the contestants didn't like her too well. By the 6th night, it got interesting. They played a game of connect 4 for the first LOC and DJ being the smart guy he is, won that challenge. So he was safe for the night. One of the contestants were voted to have an LOS (Locus of Safety). No one still knew who had it, so it was up in the air at the moment. Yet again, another double elimination. So Audrey spun the wheel of misfortune and it was a random pick of who got eliminated, so it was Bobby who got eliminated in the first round. I wasn't able to watch much of that night due to some data issues on my phone, so I was able to watch a little bit and who else got eliminated. For the second LOC round, it was down to Megan and Mary, and Mary had won that challenge. When it got down to the second elimination, it ended up being a double tie between Jon and Megan. So they ended up being safe for the night and and Audrey spun the wheel for someone else to get eliminated instead. So it landed on Alex and she was eliminated that night. By Tony's reaction he was pretty upset, because those 2 were in an alliance together and wanted to keep going to the top together, but like they say, shit happens. On the 7th night, I had missed the entire thing, and had to to look on twitter to see that there was a triple elimination, and the top 3 were Megan, D.J and Jon. On the 8th night, the top 3 did challenges they've already done from the past week. And due to a camera delay, Megan had started a minute later than the other two. D.J was on fire that night and was the first to finish and just sat back and watched Megan and Jon. For a while, they both got stuck on two different parts of the challenge and was able to move on to a different part, but Jon did eventually finish and Megan was eliminated. She was just so frustrated and was just cussing up a storm. I felt so bad for her. She worked hard to make it as far as she did. So it finally got down to the finale, and it was Jon and D.J in the hot seat. They both gave some pretty sincere speeches and then the rest of the contestants were back and played the jury and they decided who the real winner was. I personally never said anything bad about D.J, but when I looked on twitter, they were back-lashing D.J thinking his entire speech was scripted. He gave each contestant a shout out and the way he strategized it the way he wanted she could make it in the to 2. Each former contestant came on and asked Jon and D.J different questions to decide who they wanted to win. Tourissa, Maxwell, Holly, Billy, Alex, Dana, Tony, and Megan all asked their questions so they could contemplate their decision. Dana even asked D.J. for him to admit 3 lies that he's told over the course of the show, and one of them was that he had the LOS and was making people think it was either Megan or Dana that had it. I saw on twitter that someone called him out for that saying it was a jackass move for him to do that. One of the nights, Megan was seriously crying because she didn't know she had to do to prove that she didn't have it. Then Tony pulled out all the strings and just bitched out Jon. Jon just nicely said to him, that he didn't care that Tony didn't like him, but that Jon still liked Tony as a person. At the end, D.J and Jon made some closing statements then the jury decided who the winner was and the winner of Sequester 9.0 was... D.J Smith. D.J told me himself that he was able to gain great exposure from the show and made some really cool connections. He even said that people have been asking him about stuff he's written. Because like me, he's a fellow writer. So I'm looking forward to seeing his works soon.

HOW IT'S PLAYED
Sequester begins with 12 contestants that will be competing in 11 cycles for the chance to be the last person standing. Before every cycle a new "Voyeur Survey" is posted for the audience to decide the perimeters of the up coming cycle. Including and not limited to the LOC (Locus of Control) Competitions, twists, rewards, and punishments.
Before the contestants can strategize they will compete in a competition for safety aka the LOC. Once the competition concludes contestants will socialize and strategize with each other for a predetermined amount of time before the elimination vote. Every cycle 1 person is eliminated until only 3 are left standing to compete in the final LOC competition. The winner and their runner up will guarantee them self a seat in the finals where they will appeal and plea their case why they deserve to win to a jury of the eliminated. In the end, the jury will choose one, and crown the winner of Sequester.
