Taking a Step Back

Ok so in my first article I talked about dating. Lets take a step back and talk about when you find someone you want to go out with. I will be the first one to tell you that I am not good at letting a young lady know right off hand that I like her and would love to be able to be in a relationship with her.

So, you see a beautiful young lady and you are interested in getting to know her more. What do you do guys? Well, if you are like me you are afraid to make that first move. I am the kind of guy that is afraid of getting hurt. Why is that you ask? Well let’s see in the past few years I have went from happily married to divorced, dating two young ladies who both broke my heart and the last one broke my kid’s hearts. Anyways, back to what I was talking about.

So, you make the first move and you start talking with this young lady. How do you know if they like you also? Well, if she is talking with you, even if it’s through text or Facebook Messenger, then you are doing good. Hey at least she hasn’t blocked you and/or ignored you. Ok so what’s next? Take another chance, ask them out of a date.

“But Tyler, I really like this young lady and can’t get her off my mind?”

Guess what it sounds like to me that you are in love. Take it easy, all guys have been in this situation at least once in their lives. What you do next is up to you. You could shut down like I used to do or you can keep making plans for dates and build a relationship. No matter what, once you ask the young lady out you at least have your foot in the door.
