As we are now set in phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man Homecoming gave a fresh look on Peter Parker and his life as sophomore in high school. Tom Holland even reported he had went undercover at The Bronx High School of Science in The Bronx for a few days to prepare for the role, where other students did not believe he would be portraying Spider-Man. Holland felt this would carry over well to the film, where other characters do not suspect Parker of being Spider-Man. So I believe he did a great job at portraying Peter Parker/Spider-Man. The film is set several months after the events of Captain America: Civil War, because at the end of Civil War, Spider-Man swoops in at the very end and helps out the other Avengers to save the world. Tony Stark/Ironman returns and takes Peter under his wings and becomes his mentor. So he had his aunt May and his friends thinking he was doing an internship at Stark Enterprises. Marisa Tomei was cast as Aunt May, and although in past movies she was older, I think Marisa gave a fresh look on her as well. When they casted her, they wanted her to be a little more closer in age to Peter and being more of a best friend to him as well. Zendaya was also cast in the movie as Michelle 'MJ' Jones, a friend and classmate of Peter's. Peter also has his best friend Ned that is alongside him and Peter accidentally reveals his secret to Ned. So Ned becomes his somewhat side-kick and helps him as the guy in the chair. As he is trying to balance his high school life, he is under the guidance of Stark and deals with the threat of Vulture who is played by Michael Keaton. The movie became more interesting by the second with many twist and turns and a few surprises. If you have followed along with the Marvel Universe movies, then this is definitely a movie to watch.
